Question 1 |
If a subprocess is followed by a gateway labeled ‘OK?’, which of the following statements is true?
A | The subprocess should have a single end event, labeled ‘OK’.
|
B | The subprocess should have exactly 2 non-Error end events, one of which is labeled ‘OK’.
|
C | The subprocess is implicitly transactional.
|
D | The subprocess should have at least one Error end event.
|
Question 1 Explanation:
The correct answer is B.
Question 2 |
A | A business change request |
B | A set of technical changes |
C | A technical change request |
D | A collaboration |
Question 2 Explanation:
The correct answer is C.
The Multi-instance Send task Initiate technical changes sends multiple Technical change request messages, each of which triggers an instance of Process 2. For a process with a Message start event, the start message indicates the process instance.

Question 3 Explanation:
The correct answer is A.
The gateway following the subprocess implies there are exactly 2 non-Error end states, one of which is ‘Fulfilled ok’. The other three all have only one non-Error end state.
Question 4 |
In an insurance claims process, if requested information from the claimant is not received in 3 days, the process does not process the claim but immediately ends in a Claim rejected end state.
Which diagram fragment correctly expresses this behavior?

Question 4 Explanation:
The correct answer is D.
A uses the instantiating event gateway, an implicit start node, and not used in Method and Style. B waits for the response in a Receive task and then waits again in event gateway, which is incorrect. C waits for the response for as long as it takes, which is incorrect.

Question 6 Explanation:
The correct answer is C.
To join conditionally parallel paths, you must use an OR-gateway.
Question 7 |
A | Always do task B; also do task C in parallel if a Gold customer; also do task D in parallel if the order value is over $100.
|
B | Always do task B; also do task C in parallel if a Gold customer, or else do task D if the order value is over $100.
|
C | Do task C if a Gold customer; also do task D in parallel if the order value is over $100; also do task B in parallel if both a Gold customer and order value is over $100.
|
D | Do task C if a Gold customer; also do task D in parallel if the order value is over $100; do task B if both NOT a Gold customer and order value is NOT over $100.
|
Question 7 Explanation:
The correct answer is D.
The tickmark (default flow) means ‘otherwise’, i.e. enable this path if none of the other paths are enabled.

Question 8 Explanation:
The correct answer is D.
